Programs
Elizabethtown-Kitley Township Public Library is books- and so much more! We are proud to provide engaging programming and opportunities for all ages. Watch for regular announcements on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram).
Main Branch Story Time (Wednesdays 10-11am)
Join us every Wednesday for a fun and exciting Preschool Story Time. This parented program invites parents and/or caregivers alongside their young children (age birth to four years) into the library for interactive learning activities, crafts, and early literacy explorations.

Therapy Dogs in the Library (Mondays 1:30-2:30pm)
We welcome Therapeutic Paws of Canada into our Main Branch Library every Monday. Suitable for anyone looking for a visit with a friendly four-legged friend!
Family Book & Build (Alternating Wednesdays 4:30-6:30pm)
Stop by the Main Branch Library the first and third Wednesday evening of the month for a self-directed building and STEM challenge. Suitable for the whole family, spend your evening having a good time and choosing great reads to borrow from our collection.
Tween and Teen Programs (Alternating Thursdays 6-7pm)
Join us every second and fourth Thursday of the month for fun and creativity at the Main Branch Library for Tweens and Teens. Keep an eye out for details on social media. Programs are registration-based to allow for material preparation.
Knit & Chat (Mondays 1-3pm)
If you feel like you never have time to knit anymore or want to learn how to knit, come join a fantastic group of ladies who like to get together each week to knit. You will enjoy the conversation of different individuals as well as enjoy some treats/goodies that are provided.

Summer Learning Program
School aged children explore the library and share a love for reading and learning during the summer months while we host activities, reading challenges, scavenger hunts, and create art and crafts.
Ontario Public Library Week
Every October, we celebrate our libraries during Ontario Public Library Week. During this exciting week, we reflect on all that libraries do for our communities, share the year’s special accomplishments, and host events for our library patrons.
