About the Library
Library Policies
Lending Policy:
As a resident of Elizabethtown-Kitley Township, you are entitled to a library card free of charge. Your library card allows books, audiobooks, videos, park passes, museum passes, and puzzles to be borrowed without charge and in accordance with the Library Circulation Policy.
While visiting the library you will have access to computers and the internet, Ancestry, and Archival and Resource materials.
Library Circulation Policy:
All materials and resources may be used in the libraries free of charge.
Library Patrons are responsible for providing current and accurate contact information. Please inform the library of any change of address, telephone number, or email address.
Library loan Period is 21 days.
Library loan renewals may be made for a period of 3 weeks provided no reserve has been placed on the material. Renewals may be made by telephone, email, or social media direct message.
Borrowing Limitations:
Patrons may borrow up to 10 items per lending period. This includes Fiction and Non-Fiction, Audiobooks, Movies, and Puzzles, but is limited to 2 New Releases per borrowing period.
Reference materials are available for in-library consultation only.
Books obtained through Interlibrary Loan are available for the period specified by the lending library.
Fines:
Elizabethtown-Kitley Township Library does not accrue library fines.
Patrons are responsible for lost or damaged items at the catalogued replacement cost.
Accessibility
Elizabethtown-Kitley Township Public libraries strive to be accessible for our patrons, and members of the greater community.
Our branches are accessible in the following ways:
- All the branches are wheelchair accessible, having ramps to the entrances of the library.
- Dedicated Handicap parking spaces.
The Library Board
The Public Library Board meets monthly to discuss issues surrounding the library.

Meeting Information
The Public Library Board meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The Library Board meets at alternating Elizabethtown-Kitley Library Branch locations.
